I have a Vodafone HTC One SV, stock. Just got it last week to go along my HTC One S (which is working great but I needed 2 phones, work related)....

I have a Vodafone HTC One SV, stock. Just got it last week to go along my HTC One S (which is working great but I needed 2 phones, work related).
Few hours ago I was prompted of a new software update, of course I obliged. Phone restarted and left it on the desk, about 30 seconds later I notice that instead of the normal software update screen I get an image with an exclamation mark inside a red triangle that pretty obviously suggested some kind of error. I didn't interfere and after about 1 minute it restarted on it's own and proceeded to the first use tutorial (don't know if it's common after every update to prompt me the first use tutorial).

Everything seemed ok at first but then I noticed my HTC Camera, Calculator & Car apps were gone. Also Chrome.
Tried downloading Chrome from appstore but I when installing I got an error 24 message.
Pissed off I decided to reset to factory settings.

1. After reset I proceed to rearange my screens etc when I notice that now Calendar is also missing, besides Camera. Notice a pattern? Almost everything starting with C just died.
2. Chrome still gives error 24.
3. Might be nothing but: Facebook sync says that Sync is currently experiencing problems (even though if I go into Facebook sub-menu I'm being shown that contacts etc, everything had just sync'd).
4. Maps can't get my current location with Mobile Data/Wi-Fi on even though my other HTC One S can, same settings as far as I can find.

What can I do?
Thanks

Here's my software information:
Android version: 4.1.2
HTC Sense Version: 4+
Software number 2.14.401.2
HTC SDK API level: 4.65
HTC Extension version: HTCExtension_Sense45_8

Can someone please help? Phone screen going funny and phone wont turn on after sleep.

Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me.

My phone keeps going funny. When it is switched on, it's fine. I can access all my data, app, make calls etc. But when I've finished using it and it goes in to sleep mode - that's when things go wrong.

My phone is still on because when I get text messages the phone beeps and the green light flashes.
But .... When I go to wake up my phone by pressing the top button, the 3 keys at the bottom light up but the screen doesn't come on.

I then have to turn the phone off all together by pressing and holding the top button. It then vibrates and beeps a number of times and then comes back on from scratch.

Sometimes when it first comes back on the screen images and icons go huge! I can't unlock my phone as the keys go bigger and some of them go off screen. I then have to turn it off by clicking the top button and click it again quickly to turn it back on before it goes in to sleep mode again.

I gave no idea why this is happening. I haven't dropped it, knocked it, banged it or abused it in anyway. My phone did a system update yesterday but it started doing this weird behaviour thing the day before the update.

I have taken my SIM card out and put it back in as suggested on another post but didn't change anything.

Any help with this situation would be kindly appreciated.
I hope someone can help me. I NEED my phone and use it all the time a 100 times a day and can't jeep switching it on and off all day.
Pplleeeaaassssseeee.

Hi members !! I must be one of the first in the UK who owned a mobile phone as it was back in 1982 and the size of a building brick (Transportable) and I still have the original number believe it or not.
I have owned numerous phones since then mostly Nokia but my latest purchase the HTC One X Plus (64Gb) is my first smart phone though I have bought two "iGroans" for my daughter. I like the look of the HTC range and the reviews always seem to be very reasonable and that's how I find myself here. I'll post a request for suggested "must have apps" in the correct section.
