Audio Problem

Got this phone for one week and really liked the microphone button. But since yesterday every timei use this feature it gives a message saying audio problem and also stopped recording video with audio. When you choose video and the audio is on it shuts the application... You have to take the audio out of function to make video .
What to do?

I have the same problem... Some other guy described it pretty well... "The microphone only works during calls, but it doesn't record any sound when recording a video and doesn't work with ANY app..."

The funny thing is, the voice has worked on and off for me before... A recent update messed it up? But why aren't more people complaining?

I've got a similar problem with the audio, however it works during recording (thanks to the stereo mic on top). Specifically this problem is with the mircophone at the bottom of the phone.

I have rooted and ROM'd my HOX, and it has been working fine, but for some reason the microphone has just stopped working, and it's now just very irritating. As I've unlocked the bootloader and rooted the device I don't want to have to send it off to HTC as I will be charged for them even to look at the phone (equally I've only just got it back from having had the WIFI problem fixed by them!)

Can anyone offer any suggestion as to what I could do to diagnose the problem?

Ive got the same problem, all of a sudden after using android assistant from the play app store it doesnt take speech anymore on pressing the speech button it keep on saying audio problem, would love a solution aye :-)

just figured it out, this worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you

1. If the display is off, press the POWER button to turn it back on.
2. Unlock the display.
3. Press and hold the POWER button, and then tap Restart.
4. When asked to confirm, tap Restart.

I am dealing with the same problem, but with HTC One V. I've tried all of the suggestions on this thread and the problem is still there.
This is driving me completely insane! I'm currently very happy with the phone except for this stupid problem, this phone is suppose to be known for good audio quality... wtf?!
