Muffled Voice

Many of my friends tell me my voice sounds muffled or murky when I call them on my att htc one x. I dont have a case or ottorbox on it. It's a stock phone no rooting or anything like that. anyone else have this issue.

Even a lot of online reviews mentioned this. But i never thought the mic quality is going to be this troublesome.

I tried calling myself from an Atrix/Galaxy S/Galaxy note

I myself find the microphone quality quite cheap. It picks up the slightest of nicks and bumps but its definitely too muddy for the other persons comfort!!

The call volumes were very low on my G2 and Sensation in the past. They fixed that but messed up the microphone quality!

Im seriously regretting not getting the Galaxy S3 instead. The call quality is just crystal clear!!
I mean this device doesn't even function properly as a phone!??

Seriously disappointing. Not buying a HTC device ever again!

I too have this problem... Friends are getting very frustrated on the other end of the line! Maybe it's a bad batch?

Same problem with my Sensation. I thought I was getting a top quality phone and now I find it quite frustrating to here people tell me I sound very muffled.

Does anyone know of a fix for this problem?

I have HTC incredible S and have recently noticed this problem with my phone. The phone has developed another software issue late;y, namely it does not update the location on the clock weather widget (YES _ I HAVE DATA ON). I think maybe the sound is also a sofware issue. HTC rep suggested I do a factory reset, but I am not sure about it as everything will be earased.
