HTC ONE V - screen size malfunction

I don't know what happened, but my HTC ONE V screen size has suddenly malfunctioned.

For example, the "favorite tray" on the home screen use to be horizontal at the bottom of the screen, now it is vertical and on the right hand side of the home screen. When I try to move the widgets out of the favorite tray, the icons disappear instead of staying on the home screen as they use to. I can't add widgets back onto the favorite tray either, as nothing happens.

If I was scrolling to the left or right of the home screen, the sides of each page is cut-off, so are the pages when you list all the icons on the screen.....

Please help.

Yep, I know exactly what you are talking about, as I have just recently started having the same problem. Have you found anything in the way of solutions?
