HTC Sync Manager Unable To Recognize, Unable To Repair

HTC Sync manager recognizes the phone maybe 50% of the time. The one time it did I tried to synch it and I got an dire error message that my phone needed repairing. So I download the repair, go through the recognize/don't recognize dance (like...it's a good half hour of plugging/unplugging the phone in to get the synch manager to recognize it), repair gets to 12% complete and Synch manager says--not enough battery power to repair it. Uhh...Battery is at 100%. Any suggestions?

HTC One came highly recommended to me; it's my first smart phone, and it's a crappy product. I regret buying it and I will never buy another. I will see if I can return this one.

    Hi.
Bought HTC 10 with Android 6.0 installed.
Install HTC Sync Manager, then Android updated to 7.0 Nougat.
After that, tried multiple times to update to Android 8.0 but all the time the message is same: "There is not enough battery power remaining to update your phone"
I have tried with different battery powers, more than 50% 60% 70% and even two times at 100%... Also tried after hard resetting my phone.. but again.. the result is same...

    Need advices plz...

    Regards.
