    Dropped HTC One in Water

I'm really hoping someone can help me. I dropped my HTC One in water on the 4th of July. I immediately dried it off as best I could and put it in rice. As far as I can tell it shut off when it fell into the water but I'm not sure. I have literally hundreds of irreplaceable photos on there that I thought were backed up but actually aren't. Is there ANYTHING I can do to recover my pictures? I tries this morning (the 8th) to plug it in and see if it would turn on but nothing is happening. Should I wait longer? Am I out of luck?

Welcome to the site. Moved your thread for responses. Did you take the battery out when you put it in the rice? I would try that.
