    HTC One S Gets Root

The HTC One S has been rooted using MoDaCo’s Superboot. This comes with one caveat, you will need a bootloader unlocked device. This will be no problem since HTC has been more than accommodating with their unlocking tool. The One X is not the only device going to get modding love right out of the gate.

I agree Rob, HTC is trying to accommodate those of us who want to unlock our devices and move forward.

Used HTC's unlock tool to unlock my gf's T-Bolt... it's awesome that they are doing this for the advanced users who want to tinker
Please feel free to PM me with any Issues/Concerns

Hopefully other manufacturers are paying attention to this. This is the way all devices in Android should be IMO.

Well, awhile back the CEO of Motorola promised to unlock all bootloaders upon request, as long as the carrier had no objections. I believe that Verizon popped up and said "We object", but I don't recall AT&T taking an official stand on that, because my SGS2 on AT&T had an unlocked bootloader out of the box thanks to Samsung.
