HTC Confirms Jelly Bean for the AT&T, T-Mobile & Rogers One X, One XL and One S

Yesterday, we reported a rumor that Jelly Bean would be coming fairly soon to certain versions of the HTC One XL and the One S. This was confirmed today by HTC themselves, and it also includes the AT&T & T-Mobile One X! Here's a quote directly from HTC,

We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.”

Unfortunately there has been no word yet on a Jelly Bean update for the Sprint variant of the phone, the EVO 4G LTE, but we will keep our ear to the ground and inform you as soon as we hear anything.

So wait...I'm new to smartphones, I upgraded ICS on my HTC One X to Android 4.0.1....can I only upgrade to newer versions of ICS or can I upgrade to 4.1 Jelly Bean??? That sucks if it's only for new hardware
