    I've got the same problem. I think it's some sort of interference problem, as it happens if I use my phone at my new desk, but nowhere else. What could be causing the interference is a mystery though...

    This issue has been reported to HTC by many users FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW, but no patch or update has been released yet as to address the problem. In order to make things happen, I have started a campaign through this link on XDA:

    Touch Button Issue HTC One S - Communication campaign "Operation Rolling Thunder" - xda-developers

    The idea is to post negative reviews on every major review website for this phone, because of this issue, and thus make the phone's rating drop to 0. Of course, HTC will be kept informed of our little campaign, which will go on until the patch is released. Let's see if that helps!
    Join the effort and help us "motivate" HTC.

    are the people having this problem from canada? I heard the home screen button issue was just in Europe for the most part, does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

    i am having tht same problem to for htc one v....sometimes it creeps me coz it on itself too....

    I will say it again, this is such a stupid idea and stupid way of trying to force the issue. All it will do is make sales go down and then why would HTC need to update? I am thinking about canceling my order for 4 of these phones now because of this. I am sure HTC are smart enough to know what they are doing and they will do it how they want when they want and it will probably be fixed with Jellybean or some update.

    Bought a new HTC One S for my son in the beginning of december, unaware of this issue, and the phone has the home button problem...

    LibertyMonger - who's paying you? Obvisiosly we have to try to force the issue! The problem has been known since the phone was released and HTC have done nothing to acknowledge it, nor fix it!

    I am due to get the One S in March 2013, and a lot depends on this issue.
    Looking forward to hearing the outcome, either way.
