HTC One S Home Button Problem
Hey everybody.
Sometimes when I use my HTC One S Home button goes crazy. It just seems like button is pressed (but it isn't) and it opens home screen, than all of screens etc. I had this problem from the day 1 of my phone and thought it was just because of the sensitivity. After reading xda-developers I recognized that I am not the only one with such problem. I can't use warranty because my phone was rooted on day 2 =) Anybody has similar problem or knows how to fix it?

Hi,
I'm getting exactly the same issue!
Since yesterday, my htc one s started to press repeately the home screen even if I'm not pressing it. To stop this loop, I have to press the power button turning off the screen....
Is there anybody that knows a reason or a solution to that?

same problem for me. one of my two "one s" from time to time goes crazy calling the "home" function repeatedly (4-5 times and disabling all buttons as well)... this is very annoying as the phone works perfectly apart this. The other device doesn't seem to have the problem...

I have the same problem. My one s is unusable because of that. When i open a program the phone returns by itself to the home screen and keeps switching between screens. The phone doesn't react on anything anymore. Only thing i can do is pressing the power button to lock and then unlock. This is very annoying and Htc has to come withe firmware update very soon.

I had the same problem. I disabled the GPS function and seems to have solved the problem as of the last 2 days.

my GPS is disabled but home button still goes crazy. I can add all of you to the list of people with the same issue, so we will make HTC work on this problem.
Link to the list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...oWVJISFE#gid=0
Give all your data here so I will add you normally. Please (!!!) do NOT change the list given

This is a big problem. My phone started doing this yesterday - I only got the phone 7 days ago and that was a replacement because I had a different problem with my original phone after just 6 weeks. I haven't done anything to the phone, wouldn't know how as I am a non-tekky person who just owns this phone. I downloaded a system update 2 days ago and all was fine prior to that.
If its still a problem tomorrow the phone is going back to Carphone Warehouse. Again.

I've had the same issue on my phone for several weeks. In the last day or two I've had instances where my back, home and switch buttons aren't responsive at all. I've rebooted the phone today and minutes into use it still does it. I've had my one S repaired once already by HTC when the handset stopped connecting to Wifi hotspots.

Me too. Zero support from HTC so far, just repeated promises of an update (which they have been making for nearly five months, in which time two OTA updates have been released, neither of which solves the problem).
Come on HTC. Hundreds of people are reporting a serious design flaw with one of your products. You should at least officially acknowledge the issue and give some more precise details about what is being done.
