    Back Up Contacts/Phonebook?

Is there a way to get my phonebook/people/contacts (whatever we call them) backed up ?
Have only had a quick try on Sync Manager but it seemed to only offer to sync with Outlook, and I don't have Outlook on my laptop, only Windows Livemail?.
On my old phone (Nokia N8) I could just back them them up into the Nokia software on the laptop.
I am with Orange and they do a contacts backup on their site but the One S not yet listed as compatible...

    Thanks

If you have a Google account, your stuff is automatically backed up. You just need to have sync set up.

Bit worried about the fact that HTC One doesn't Sync both ways like other accounts (Blackberry iPhone etc). Contacts outdated on PC's Outlook now and most new contacts are put on the phone, bit concerned about no back up should the phone fail - can Dropbox be used for this or any other suggestions re how to protect all info in the People section?

I just saw this thread and share my knowledge. Due to the text messages and contats are saved in phone's SMS cards and not in SD card, so, you need to extract messages from SIM crad to your computer, or use Gmail. Other solution, you can try some sms export program like: iSTosnoft, Vibosoft MObile Manager or Coolmuster Android Assistant.

Gmail is more convenient for contacts sync across phones. Or you can use other programs or apps for backup purpose such as HTC Sync Manager or Android Assistant. I came across a guide from google and share it in here. Hope it would do some help. Tutorial: How to backup sms from htc one m9 to computer
