[RESOLVED] Hang, Black Screen, Can't Activate Screen

After enjoying having this pretty phone for 5 months, I suddenly have a problem with it. The screen black out, pressing power does not activate the screen. Charging the phone doesn't show the lamp indicator (on top). Taking out SIM card and memory card don't do any change also. My phone is not rooted.

The phone is not responding to any key combinations of Power + volume down, Power +volume up+volume down, pressing the keys for more than 10 seconds.

Could anyone help how to solve the problem other than visiting service center?

Mine just did that.

I found the following on another forum, worked for me:

press and hold power button until the phone turns completely off.

then turn it on.

all fine now for me..

Thanks very much, Mate- My screen just conked and I started panicking cos you cant remove the battery etc. Worked for me just like you described. Phew!!

Bought mine on Dec 1st 2012, and it's gone cuckoo since last week.
Lines started appearing on screen, then resolution gone haywire, visible pixels, then yesterday it started blacking out, hard to activate screen to unlock.
Incoming calls not visible due to black screen.

What's the HTC Centre in Malaysia?
And how much to repair, in Ringgit Malaysia (RM)?
