Hello Tabochy, and welcome to the forum. We're delighted to have you as a member!

I'm not a technician, so I can't really help you on the wifi issue, but if you can hang on for a bit, one of our really knowledgeable members will pop in with advice on how to resolve the problem.

I just found out the solution for this problem...I purchased HTC One V on last Sunday and I am unable to connect to Wi-Fi I tried calling Tech Support but they didn't help me out and i tried myself...if you have already typed a password and tried to connect to wifi tap on the wifi connection that you are trying to connect and you will find Forget option tap on that
next...scan for networks available and choose the desired network and after entering password there will be one option called show Advanced Options check that and you will find WPS option in that select any option which suits to your router mine was push button on router...i selected that option and after that i should press a push button WPS which is available on my router for 5 secs...its done...your HTC one V is connected to Wifi cheeersss...!!

Unfortunately i believe the problem is with the phone itself. It has to be because I am currently on my 3rd "in the box" phone & they were all the same. I had never been able to connect to my router without WPS on the first two phones. On the third it got annoying having to do it daily so I pulled the battery & plug from my router & then put them back. For some reason when the router gains wifi/internet access the phone connects. This lasts for about 5 days then I have to pull the router battery/cord again. This problem being corrected is about as likely as the phone getting JB. At least thats been my experience with VM & their defective phones. I hate going through the whole root thing (I had a helluva time doing it on the Triumph) but I need to get it done. I would gladly have paid a hundred bucks more for a phone with a little more power. In the state the phone is in now it is less a little brother to the S/X & more an inbred abortion that lived. Looks like I got ripped off again. Thanks VM & HTC.
