    Problem with network signal

I received a One V a few days ago and it is continually losing the signal. I took it on a 3 mile walk and it lost the signal over twenty times and sometimes it took 2 or 3 minutes to get reconnected. Also the data signal was only "E" (edge). I am with Talkmobile who use the Vodafone masts and they have told me that it's because of poor coverage where I live. I know that this is not true because when I put the sim into my old HTC Wildfire and took it on the same walk I had full-strength signal and no dropped connections. Also the data signal was "H". There is obviously something wrong with the phone but is this just with my phone or is it an inherent problem with all HTC ONE Vs?

Hey, just so you know Ive had my HTC One x for three month on contract, suddenly I woke up one day. All the places where I would usually get reception... theres now none at al.. Went back to my provider which is Three network.. in uk.. Well they gave me a sim replacement, but nothing changes. 4 days later. I booked in for a warranty through my network provider. They said warranty should cover it as its hardware fault. So i think you should do the same.. or exchange for new seeing as youve only had it for few days.

I too am with Talkmobile with an HTC One V. I just think the phone itself is rubbish for it's signal, both for calls & data. I also think Talkmobile are doing something slightly different to the Vodafone signal (I have a Vodafone PAYG C902). I get a poorer signal on Talkmobile than I do on Vodafone even tho it's supposed to be the same network. I also get a poorer signal comparing my old C902 with my new One V (swapping sim cards, C902 is better). I also get a poorer signal than my girfriends Wildfire which is also on Talkmobile.

Also in an area right by the masts, my Vodafone PAYG had full strength signal, yet both my Talkmobile One V, & my GFs Talkmobile Wildfire kept dropping the signal all the time. I even asked in several shops in the area & none of those I asked had any problems with a mobile signal (but I didnt ask what network they were on)

My problem seems to be sorted (for now!). I contacted Talkmobile who authorized a replacement phone via Carphone Warehouse. This one wouldn't register the sim so I exchanged again with Carphone Warehouse and my third One V seems to be working fine. Very pleased with the customer service from Carphone Warehouse but not sure about HTC's quality control.

I faced the same problem with HTC ONE V I bought last month, as highlighted by scblues, I also had HTC Wildfire and in that phone signals were good whereas One V had none. I think its HTC ONE V issue. Are they replacing the handset? Where/Whom to contact in Delhi, India?

I had a very bad signal problem also bought on the 3 network especially in my house i was getiing hardly any signal and only 2 bars outside and the internet was very slow.
so i manually changed the APN settings to that which i found on a site i will post below and it seems to have fixed my issue. The thing is you will need to obtain the APN settings from your respective network providers as i only have details for UK 3 network hope this helps. Hi Its been 6 months that I have been using HTC ONE V and now out of the blue I am having network issues. I am using vodafone(India). Once I Lose signa it will not get the network automatically. I have to manually search the network signal and than select vodafone and then register. Please advice
