Problem with Contacts in HTC One V

Hi everybody!
I have bought a new HTC One V from an Orange store in Poland. I'm using it for about 2 weeks now. Everything works perfet except the contacts. The contacts (or people, I'm not sure what's the difference) crashes all over the time in following situations:
1. Try to add new contact
2. Try to show call history
3. Try to enter "Contacts" tab in Dialer
4. Try to add someone to the fast dial
5. Try to see the blocked numbers
And many more.. I was trying to use another contact managers but thay also fail, seems, like thay are using in core the same API or database.. The problem was occuring from the very beginning. I updated the system (now I have version 2.09.69.1, HTC SDK Api 4.11, HTC Extension 403_1_GA_5). All the apps are fully up to date.
Do you know any solution for this? Or should I try the warranty?

I did that. Few days it was OK, then problem starts again.

HTC one v has issues, my phone crashed twice . and it hangs up quite often ... I think its the internal memory issue, If someone has fix for this please post

I have the problem contact not loading kept prompting send error report to HTC happens every other day...seems like this phone cannot handle big contact list. am thinking send back to HTC to claim warrranty. its been a promising yet dissapointing entry android phone

Had my phone for close to three months no problem, then all of a sudden it stops charging. Had to send the phone and now very anxious because I have heard horror stories all of kinds.

To me it sounds like something is getting on the phone that is corrupting the software. Do you surf the net a lot on it? I find I have to clear the catches because something gets on and it stops working. Once I clear the catches on games and stuff, it's starts working again. May want to do a small cleaning.

I too have experienced several isues with teh "People" App.
The Groups feature in People is the worst I have seen on any phone and we I try to categorize my contacts into Groups it just doesn't work.
Merging and Linking is also disappointing when you try to merge FB contacts with the ones in Phone and Google.
And I am unable to edit the display pic of my contacts.
Any fix on this App available??

I have similar problem, did the factory reset did not work out. People (Contact) is the basic function of a phone. If this does not work, how can the phone work - I am wondering if HTC is concerned about it. I am from Islamabad - Pakistan.

Dear R@vi try this

If you are able to access the People app sometimes without it crashing

Export contacts to the alternate account.

Go to All Apps
Tap People
Press the Menu button
Tap Import/Export
Choose Export to SD card
Choose the account where your contacts are stored
Press OK (if prompted)

From the Home screen, Bring the notification bar down
Tap Settings
Scroll to and tap Apps
Select the All tab
Tap on Contacts
Tap Clear data
Review the message, then tap OK
The application will now be returned to its initial state.
