    Unable to Sync [512]

    Hello everybody

    Situation before december 2013:
    syncing the phone with a W7 computer, with outlook 2010 installed.
    Everything works fine to sync contacts & calender.

    In the end of 2013 some hardware crashed on the phone, and it goes for repairs.
    I'm still able to create a backup of all my data with the HTC Sync Manager backup option.


    Situation january 2014:
    Today I received my phone back, and as before it had a full reset.
    So I connect te device on the computer, to restore the backup.
    All works fine, all data is back.


    But ....
    while to phone was away, there where a lot of changed added to the contacts & the calender.
    I also upgraded Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2013.

    When I open the Sync Manager and try to sync, it won't work.
    If I try to access the phone through windows explorer, everything still works fine.

    The error-message I get on screen:
    I always get the message: "unable to sync [512].


    After trying to contact the HTC helpdesk, I get a man on the phone, who tells me: delete your emailadres and try to resync! duh?!

    UNABLE TO SYNC
    ----------------
    Unable to sync. Please recconnect your device. [512]

    1. Make sure outlook/Express has been launched normally at lease once and account has been set.
    2. End Outlook/Express and try to sync again
    3. If your profile and folder are protected by password, please remove it and try to sync again.
    4. For Exchange users, please check if the internet access is working normally and try to sync again



    1) What account needs to be set? I have my personal on my mailbox, and a gmail on my mobile device
    2) tried, restarted the pc, still nothing
    3) no passwords set. syncing won't work
    4) I don't use Exchange.

    I had contact with the helpdesk of HTC (dutch).
    They keep telling me to delete all my emailadresses, and install them again.
    For me personally at this moment that is no option. I have in total 28 mailboxes installed on this machine.

    Furthermore they keep telling me that their software is compatible with Outlook 2013
    If you look on Google, you see lot' of people that have troubles with this program's to sync.

    So at this moment, everything stops here, and if it don't get it fixed, I'll buy meself a Samsung S5 next month......

    Just had my HTC One phone back after having an over heating battery. I can connect to HTC Sync Manager, I can back up the phone but I cannot Sync music, photos or contacts. Every time I click sync I get a pop up screen with message

    "Unable to sync. Please reconnect your device. [30003]"

    Desperately need some help here

    Hi Monte , you can connect it with other prog... moborobo ,myphone explorer but its not the same with HTC Sync Manager...you can try!

    HTC sucks so bad at support - wait they do not provide support. They do not understand the concept of support.
    HTC Sync Manager is a complete piece of crap that is full of bugs. I think it was written by a 10 year old.
    No wonder it doesn't work.
