Unhappy HTC Sync Won't Recognize HTC One X

    Hi,

I'm addressing you as I am unable to sync my phone to the computer.
Everything was installed according to the documentation. Even did it twice to make sure.
Went through the troubleshooting process, but still - can't connect.

    Appreciate your help.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ofir Prizat

make sure when you plug your phone into the computer that debug is off. A connection screen like this will appear

Select HTC Sync Manager and it should connect to your PC to sync

Make sure you have the current version of HTC Sync

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

    Thanks for the swift reply.
I've tried the suggested solution and unfortunately it still can't connect.
I've tried with both debug on and off...
I have the latest version of htc sync - 3.2.20

    Thanks

Is there any firewall on your computer preventing the phone to connect?

    Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that the issue was resolved. Apparently the problem was connecting HTC to the USB on the monitor (DELL monitor). When I changed it to a direct USB connector i the PC it worked. This is strange because I am using this monitor USB successfully with any device (Camera, Disk on key, etc...).

    Thanks anyway!

I have the same problem. The phone only has the option to connect to HTC Sync Manager, while the app I have is HTC Sync. Every time I try to sync HTC Sync keeps showing the "No device connected" picture, and keeps firing up my browser to the HTC Sync Manager page here:

    HTC Sync Manager

as if to say I've got the wrong app, and I need this one. The page says that HTC Sync Manager will be available soon, though, meaning that it's not there, and to add insult to injury, tells me to download the latest version of HTC Sync (which I did) which supposedly allows me to sync my personal information between my phone and computer. So do I have the right app or the wrong app, and if it's the right app why won't it work, and if it's the wrong app where the right one (as the one I keep getting pointed to is not yet available)?

    Thanks all!

This might not be the latest driver, but I've had it installed with no problems so far. Give it a shot and see what happens... this should also allow you to avoid having to install Sync as well. If you have Sync or any previous HTC drivers installed, you'll likely want to uninstall them first.

edit: I have Windows 7 32bit at home and 64bit at work - works both places
