How to set apps to only update over wifi?

Hi all,

In my first month of ownership & want to make sure I don't have too high data usage. I've no problem with mail updating often, but as for updates to the app itself such as SKY news etc how do I tell them to only update when over wifi, i.e when i'm at home?

Go to About>Software Update> uncheck the "scheduled check"> click "settings"> check "use wi-fi or cable only. Done
