Hole near the headset jack - what is it?

Hey guys,

Just a quick question for which I couldn't find an answer on google or in the official user guide.

I'm trying to find a perfect case for my HOX but some of them seem to be covering that small hole (top view) near the headset jack. Does anyone know what is it or how would the phone be affected if it was covered by a case?

It's the headphone overflow breathing port... Don't cover it up unless you want your phone to turn samsung blue!

Hi. I just read it is: secondary microphone for noise cancellation. Hope that is correct.

Yes It's for noise cancellation, HTC might suck at voice volume, but at least the caller can hear you!
