Annoying Notification keeps appearing

I have a really weird Notification that keeps appearing 3-4 times a day with sound and vibrate alert.

The notification has the following info:

Title: "Notification Title"
Content: "Notification Content"
Icon: The icon is a "Connect with facebook" icon, but it's not possible to see all the text.

When clicking the notification nothing happens!

To find (and disable) the notification I have tried:

* checked all settings in my facebook sync account and tried to check and uncheck "Sync contacts"

* to deactivate the Facebook app and the FacebookAPIEngine

No mather what the notification keeps appearing.

Furthermore I have search the storage after all *.ico, *.gif, *.png, *.jpg files to see if I could find where the notification icon is stored, but I cannot find it.

When the notification keeps appearing even with the facebook apps disabled, I think the app creating the notification is some of the installed apps, but but I have the same apps on my HTC Hero HD and no Notifications there!

If anyone have an idea of what to do before I have to reset my One X it would be appreciated.

It sounds like app spam. I know that my apps sometimes behave differently on my two phones so maybe one of them is only being annoying on your OneX. I'd recommend removing them one at a time (one per day) and hopefully you'll find the perpetrator.

Download AirPush Detector from Google Play and start it.It will show you which application is causing this.I also had this problem,this solved it.Hope it helps to you as well.

Downloaded AirPush Detector. After 4 days the notification havn't appeared ;-)

Strange! But most important the notification has stopped without a device reset/uninstall.
